((I honestly don’t know what the big deal is about Derpy being called Derpy or the way she was portrayed in the new episode, but I honestly find it all pretty ridiculous.))

((There is nothing wrong with the name “Derpy” (in all honestly, I find the name “Ditzy” more offensive.) The way she was portrayed in the episode was in no way negative, she was cute and clumsy with a bubbly personality. Some people have said that the didn’t like the fact that she was characterized the way the fandom had created her but I don’t see the problem. For the most part the fandom has not created a negative image for the character (I say “most part” because there are always exceptions) and she was and is to this day one of the most loved, if not the most loved, characters of the MLP series. I can understand enough the upset at her voice but the VA did admit to not knowing if Derpy was a boy or a girl.))

((There have always been characters on the dopey side of things in cartoons and animations, there’s nothing wrong with them being portrayed that way, we often come to love those characters. Saying that Derpy is a insulting stereotype is like saying that Rainbow Dash stereotypes that all tough, feminists are angry lesbians.))

((I’m not asking to start a war and in all honestly and I’m not expecting the opposing side to take this seriously. I’m just throwing my ten cents in, hoping that Derpy can stay the way she is because I love her that way and all ways will. Derpy never has and never will be “Ditzy” to me.))

If everyone thinks Derpy is offensive to the mentally retarded, then you can change Peter Griffin, Ed, The three Stooges, Patrick Star, and other character that YOU LOVE that has even the resemblance of being “mentally retarded”
